"CONTAINER MAINTENANCE CHARGES" ON IMPORT CONTAINERS WITH EFFECT FROM 1ST MARCH 2010
Please be informed that with effect from 1st March 2010, there will be a uniform "CONTAINER MAINTENANCE CHARGES" applicable
on all the DRY containers imported into Indian Ports including all the ICD's.
These charges will be applicable only for "Factory De-stuffed containers" as follows -
Rs.550 per 20' DRY Container and Rs.1100 per 40' DRY container.
This container Maintenance Charges will cover all damages upto Rs.5500/- per Container irrespective size of the DRY Containers
Excluding missing accessories for special containers such as Open top/Flat Rack.
Damages exceeding Rs.5500 per container will be charged on actual basis.
Consignees are requested to note that this "Container Maintenance Charge" will cover all types of DRY containers, only & exclude reefer containers.
This will continue to be charged on actual repairing cost basis.
The Container Washing charges as per prevailing practice will continue to be collected in addition to this "Container Maintenance Charge".
Service tax will be applicable on all the above charges as per government rules & regulations.
